Stephen Culbert
President and Chief Executive Officer
Stephen Culbert is the founding share holder of Alternate Power International Ltd. Stephen brings a distinguished record of project management, manufacturing and leadership experience. Stephen has spent more than 20 years in the manufacturing industry, the last seven spent in Senior Management positions. He has been responsible for a $500 million portfolio and managed multiple facilities with over 600 employees.
His familiarity with managing multi-million dollar government funded projects is a good fit for large scale energy sector initiatives.
Werner Kaul
Vice President - Project Development
As the Vice President of Project Development, Werner is responsible for developing relationships with potential clients for new projects. He brings years of alternate energy project experience to our team and provides clients with a clear sense of the feasibility of their project. He has been in the alternate energy business for 15 years providing expert advice on system design and realistic output expectations. He has taught alternate energy programs at the college level and is viewed an expert in his field.
Werner was a director of Hearthmakers Energy Co-operative for 3 years and was responsible for the initial feasibility study done on the Wolfe Island 36 Megawatt project in Ontario, Canada. This project has since grown to 197 Megawatts and will produce an estimated 530,000 mega-watt hours per year of renewable energy.
